Entrada: Comienza a las 7:15 a.m.
Horario de instrucción: Ahora comienza a las 7:45 a.m. Por favor, llegue a tiempo.
Desayuno para estudiantes: De 7:30 a 7:45 a.m.

Yesterday, we enjoyed PK & Kinder Camp and Meet the Teacher Night. We had such a great time. We are ready to welcome everyone back for the first day of school tomorrow, Thursday, August 14th.

Drop-off: Begins at 7:15 a.m.
Instructional time: Now begins at 7:45 a.m. Please arrive on time.
Student breakfast: 7:30–7:45 a.m.

We’ve included the drop-off and dismissal map for your reference. Dismissal will now begin at 3:10 p.m. We kindly ask for your patience as we work to ensure the safety of all students.

ANNOUNCEMENT: McAllen ISD is aware of a message on social media that makes a threat toward McAllen High & Travis Middle School. Although McAllen ISD police consider this message to be non-credible, all threats are taken seriously. We will take all steps necessary to ensure the safety of students & staff at all our schools. Our police are working with other law enforcement agencies to ensure everyone’s safety. In addition, officers are stationed each day at every campus. We will continue to post updates as needed. Please take a moment to speak with your child about the importance of reporting something suspicious to a responsible adult. Parents can also check their child’s backpack for anything inappropriate. ALERT: Here is an update on the threats circulating on social media. There is no threat to any McAllen ISD school. Out of an abundance of caution, McAllen ISD has extra patrols in the area & local law enforcement agencies are aware. Donna ISD made an arrest in this case last week but, students have recirculated the content in order to spread awareness. Again, there is no threat to any McAllen ISD school. ALERT: McAllen ISD is aware of concerning videos & threats being recirculated on social media. These threats are being made toward multiple RGV schools. An arrest has been made in another school district but McAllen ISD is continuing to monitor the situation. All threats are taken seriously. We will post updates as warranted.
